Description
Quanta Pharma Tirzepatide 30mg
Tirzepatide is a dual agonist: one molecule acts on both the GLP-1 and GIP receptors. The Quanta Pharma version is a lyophilised 30mg vial and comes with bacteriostatic water for reconstitution.
What the research covers
Acting on both receptors improves insulin release when blood sugar is high, lowers glucagon, slows stomach emptying and reduces appetite. Research covers blood sugar control, body weight and body composition. The half-life of around five days suits once-weekly research protocols.
Where the evidence sits
Tirzepatide has a strong clinical evidence base and is a licensed medicine (Mounjaro) for type 2 diabetes and weight management. In the SURMOUNT-1 trial, the highest dose produced an average 20.9% reduction in body weight at 72 weeks. Those results come from the licensed pharmaceutical product. This vial is not that product and is supplied strictly as a laboratory research chemical.
