SereneQ Retatrutide

Retatrutide is a triple hormone receptor agonist, the first research compound to act simultaneously on GLP-1, GIP and glucagon receptors in a single molecule. Phase 2 clinical data published in the New England Journal of Medicine showed mean body weight reductions of 24.2% at 48 weeks — the largest reduction recorded for any pharmacological compound in an obesity trial to date. The glucagon receptor component is what separates retatrutide from dual agonists like tirzepatide: glucagon activation increases energy expenditure, so the weight loss mechanism goes beyond appetite suppression.

Where the evidence sits

The Phase 2 SURMOUNT programme is the primary evidence base. Participants on the highest dose (12mg weekly) achieved 24.2% mean weight reduction by week 48, with reductions in liver fat, visceral adiposity, blood pressure and lipid profiles also reported. The compound is still in Phase 3 trials as of 2026 and does not hold a marketing authorisation anywhere. All published data comes from controlled trials, not from the pen format supplied here. The pen format

Handling and storage

• Store refrigerated at 2–8°C. Do not freeze.
• Keep in the outer carton, away from direct light.
• Short periods at room temperature during transit are expected and normal.
• Use a fresh sealed tip for each dispense. Dispose of tips in a sharps container.
• Expiry 12/2027 on sealed, correctly stored stock.
• Keep out of reach of children and animals.
