MITO is a blend pen formulated around compounds with evidence in mitochondrial biology research. Mitochondrial dysfunction is increasingly recognised as a central mechanism in metabolic ageing — as mitochondrial efficiency declines, ATP production falls, reactive oxygen species increase, and downstream effects ripple through muscle function, cognitive performance, fat metabolism and longevity pathways. The blend targets this system through complementary mechanisms.

What the research covers

The individual compounds in MITO have been studied in models of mitochondrial disease, age-related metabolic decline, obesity and neurodegeneration. Research targets include electron transport chain efficiency, mitochondrial membrane potential, ATP synthesis rate, ROS production, mitochondrial biogenesis (via AMPK/PGC-1α pathways) and mitophagy — the selective removal of damaged mitochondria. No published research exists on this specific combination.

The pen format

This is where SereneQ does things differently. Instead of lyophilised vials that need reconstituting and drawing up separately, the compound arrives pre-loaded in solution in a graduated injection pen with a dial and a dose window.

Handling and storage

• Store refrigerated at 2–8°C. Do not freeze.
• Keep in the outer carton, away from direct light.
• Short periods at room temperature during transit are expected and normal.
• Use a fresh sealed tip for each dispense. Dispose of tips in a sharps container.
• Expiry 12/2027 on sealed, correctly stored stock.
• Keep out of reach of children and animals.
