SereneQ GHRP-6

GHRP-6 is a synthetic hexapeptide ghrelin receptor agonist and one of the original compounds in the growth hormone secretagogue class. It was developed in the 1980s and is structurally a peptide analogue of enkephalin. Its ghrelin-mimetic activity is strong — stronger than GHRP-2 for appetite stimulation — because ghrelin itself is the endogenous hunger hormone as well as a GH secretagogue, and GHRP-6 replicates that dual activity.

What the research covers

GHRP-6 stimulates GH release from the pituitary through ghrelin receptor activation and has been studied for GH pulse amplitude, IGF-1 elevation and body composition. Its appetite stimulation has been studied separately as a pharmacological tool for investigating the ghrelin system in feeding behaviour research. It has also been examined for cytoprotective effects in cardiac and neurological models, similar to other GHS peptides, and for potential gastric cytoprotection. Animal studies have examined it alongside GHRH analogues for synergistic GH release.

Handling and storage
